*** Interested in Joining a Rivertowns United travel team? ***
In-person tryouts have passed, but there are still opportunities at many age levels. We can arrange an evaluation if there are openings at your player's age level. Please contact our Director of Travel Hugh Wilmot to inquire (travelteams@ayso324.org), being sure to include your player's birth year and gender. Thank you for your interest!

Welcome

Please read the steps below, even if you have registered in the past.
You need to register every year as a player and as a coach, assistant coach, manager, or other type of volunteer.

For PLAYERS:
  1. If you are new, sign yourself up as a user of the system.
If you registered in past years, please use the same account. Please do not open a brand new account for your family. Use "Forgot password/username" if you need to.
  2. Register each of your players.
  3. Once invited to join a team, you will need to complete the following steps:
  4. Enter the registration code (sent with your invitation to join a team or provided by your coach if returning).
  5. Select the age group and team name.
  6. Upload a current photo of the player's face (required for the player pass).
  7. Check out and pay by credit card.
  8. If you do this correctly, you will get an email receipt, confirming your registration.
  9. For new players, you will need to send your coach proof of age when your coach asks (email a copy of birth certificate or passport).
  10. For ALL players, you also need to register every year at ayso324.com so that you are covered by the mandatory annual AYSO insurance. Select Rivertowns United 2019-2020 and pay the $20 fee.
  11. For ALL players, your coach will provide instructions about ordering a uniform, as needed.
For COACHES AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS:
  1. Use your family account to register as a coach (the same one where you registered your player). If you registered in past years, use the same account. Please do not open a brand new account. Use "Forgot password/username" if you need to.
  2. Register yourself as the position you will fill:  A team can only have one head coach (Coach) but can have up to three assistant coaches. You will need the same registration code your player used.
    1. Coach - on the official team roster, see "requirements" below
    2. Assistant coach - on the official team roster, see "requirements" below
    3. Manager - not a rostered volunteer, does not need to do the requirements below
    4. Team parent  - not a rostered volunteer, does not need to do the requirements below
  3. Select the age group and team.
  4. Upload a headshot photo of your face (required for the coaching pass).
  5. Check out - no payment required but you still need to transact and complete the shopping cart process.
  6. If you do this correctly, you will get an email receipt, confirming your registration, with instructions about coach requirements.
  7. For new coaches, you will need to take care of several requirements:
    1. Background check (one time)
    2. Online injury prevention course (one time)
    3. Online abuse prevention Course (one time)
    4. WYSL orientation course (one time)
    5. Coaching course for the age group you coach (for each age group)
  8. For returning coaches, some requirements you need to repeat, others you do only one time.
  9. We recommend the following (especially if you are opting for a paid NYCFC trainer)
    1. Choose a parent as team manager -- they will act as treasurer and liaison for collecting funds from parents.
    2. Establish a team budget for items including as needed trainer costs, tournaments, indoor field space rental, equipment for training.
    3. The manager should collect funds at the beginning of the season, and can process refunds at the end of the season as needed if the team was under budget.
